19th Century Wood Box

Total Item Description: 19th Century Wood Box.

This is a beautiful Early 19th Century oak wood box, with iron strap lock and a wonderful rich patina.

Not sure of the origins of this box, but it seems likely to be of Spanish or South American manufacture.

Condition: Is good overall, lock latch has been repaired and there are small  beetle or worm holes on the bottom.

From time to time there have been nails added to sustain the boxes overall structural integrity, which to this day remains sound.
